Biographical details

From Lambayeque, Peru, she participated in "la gesta libertadora en tareas díficiles y de particular cuidado". She was awarded the Orden del Sol by San Martín on 11 January 1822. (Guardia, 48; Gaceta de Lima, 23-1-1822, p.3)

From a well known family in Lambayeque, she and Narcisa Iturregui wrote letters to the patriots giving them information about the royalist movements. (García y García, 256, 292)
